Each residential unit design in this project has its own private garden that is serviced by the top of the unit below it. The private garden area is not only for cultivating purposes, but can also become an extensive area in which people can create and design. It can transform into an organic element to enclose a garden, pavilion or small shop designed using their creativity and servicing their needs for space.

 

Every two floors constitute a cluster and have a small public garden for the neighborhood. The corridors of the east and south part face the courtyard, the north corridor faces the community center, and the western corridor faces the NYCHA campus building. Each unit private garden provides a continuously void/garden area and solid/residential area space. It is beneficial for both air ventilation and visibility out to the city.
